  • If you're not nervous, it means you don't care anymore.
  • By the time you realize your parents are right, your kids are telling you you're wrong.
  • It's genuinely worth seeing why your parents are the way they are.
  • What ever you say is true
    • If you say "everyone hates me" then everyone hates you.
  • Whenever you see yourself getting used to a person, place, job etc.
    • Just catch yourself
    • And be grateful.
  • Don't work hard to prove people wrong, prove your lovers right
  • It doesn't mean you're being unproductive if you're taking a break.
    • You get to come back and do better.
    • Doesn't have to be a month. Just take some space for your mind.
    • Make time for little actions. Like calling someone you haven't spoken to in a while.
  • Loving yourself means you're not afraid to ask for help if you need it.
    • Looking at your bad habits and thinking "I don't hate you for this, but we're gonna work on this".
    • When you recognize these things, write them down. Step 1,2,3.
    • If you haven't done that, you know who to blame.
    • Jay - Write your internal dialogue when you feel a bad emotion and then write what you want to think.
  • Foster relationships with people you don't pay to be around you.
  • Remove as many obstacles from your day as possible to make your life as optimal as possible.
    • Cos there'll be lots of obstacles I can't control
    • So whatever I can, will be.
  • Say what you mean, don't say it mean.
    • It's possible to say it without being mean
  • Protecting your energy is important
    • You don't have to go for everything you think you have to.
    • Stop thinking of these things as soul sucking, but as opportunities to learn about people.
  • You can't give up until you try
    • Even after a no, figure it out.
  • Flow state
    • When your challenge matches your skills.
  • If I'm not being productive, I'm not taking advantage of everything I've been given
  • Doing things that mean a lot to you personally is also success
    • It's not just professional success.
  • For building a company
    • The smart thing to do, is to be  the dumbest person in the room
    • Cos that means youve hired smarter people to work for you.
  • No one's gonna take care of you like you're going to take care of you
